My Story
Hey there! I’m Silvia, originally from Yucatan, Mexico, where I studied architecture at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán. I made the move to the UK in 2009 after marrying my amazing husband from Northamptonshire. While I had to leave my architecture career behind, my creative spark has always been alive. During my university studies I also studied photography one year as part of the curriculum, I fell in love with black and white film photography and the magic of watching images come to life on paper. After having my last little one during lockdown, I picked up my old Nikon D50 and got back into photography, which I’ve always loved alongside arts and design.
For me, photography is all about capturing those special moments, memories, and the beauty around us—whether it’s something stunning or just everyday life. It’s a way to hold onto memories that might fade; a photo can take you right back to that moment. I love snapping happy times, whether it’s a new-born, a mama-to-be, a family gathering, or a wedding.
I usually take photos outdoors for that relaxed vibe, or in my cosy home studio where I set up backdrops and props to create something beautiful and unique for my clients. I really enjoy paying attention to the little details to make every shot special.
To deliver professional photos, I continuously learn through workshops to enhance and develop my skills so I can photograph my clients in the best way.
I am a registered photographer by The Societies- SWPP- Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, and founder member of Kelly Brown photography and flash masters.
In a short time of my photography career I have been awarded by The Societies of photographers- SWPP- Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers with a Highly commended award for new born category. I am looking forward for what is yet to come in my career and and creating beautiful memories for my clients.
